Information processed in your browser
Most Evernode tools run entirely in your browser. Text, images, documents, calculator values, generated passwords, hashes, media streams, and other working inputs are not uploaded to Evernode for processing unless a tool clearly states otherwise beside the action that makes a request. Browser-local processing may use memory, Web Workers, browser storage, Canvas, Web Crypto, media APIs, or route-specific libraries.
Some tools can save preferences or working state in localStorage or sessionStorage. That information remains in your browser and can be removed through the tool, your browser settings, or by clearing site data.
Limited server-assisted tools
The public IP tool sends an ordinary request to Evernode because a browser cannot determine its public internet address by itself. The server reads the trusted address supplied by the hosting network and returns it without geolocation enrichment. The link preview tool sends the public URL you enter to Evernode because browser cross-origin restrictions prevent reliable metadata fetching. It does not upload the target page from your device.
Link preview requests are protected by scheme and port restrictions, public DNS checks, redirect checks, response-size limits, and timeouts. Responses and operational logs may contain the requested public URL and routine request metadata. Do not submit private, secret, authenticated, or personally sensitive URLs.
Rate limiting and hosting logs
Evernode hashes the connection IP address before using it as an Upstash Redis rate-limit identifier. Raw addresses are not intentionally sent to Upstash analytics, and limiter analytics are disabled. The hosting provider may still process IP addresses, timestamps, user agents, requested paths, and diagnostic information in routine security and access logs. Retention for provider logs is controlled by the configured hosting plan and should be reviewed before launch.
Optional analytics and error reporting
If configured, Evernode uses Plausible Analytics for aggregate, cookieless traffic measurement. Plausible states that its standard service does not use cookies or collect personal data for cross-site tracking. This analytics configuration does not itself require an analytics cookie banner. Advertising consent is handled separately as described below.
If configured, Sentry receives technical error details such as stack traces, page context, browser information, and an anonymous event identifier. Evernode disables default personally identifiable information collection and loads the browser SDK only when an error needs reporting. Tool inputs should not be intentionally attached to error events.
External services and links
Some opt-in features contact an external service after explaining the request. Loading an external Open Graph image contacts that image host. External links are governed by the destination’s own privacy terms. Evernode does not control those services.
Accounts and guest access
When accounts are enabled, guests can start five tool sessions before a free account is required. Supabase processes your email address, authentication credentials, and session information to create and secure your account. Authentication cookies keep you signed in. Tool inputs and files are not attached to your account, and creating an account does not enable cloud storage or cross-device synchronization of your work.
A randomly generated guest identifier is stored in an essential cookie for up to one year. Upstash Redis stores its session count for up to one year after the last counted session. Short-lived tool-access records and cookies expire after two hours. These records contain tool identifiers, not tool inputs or uploaded files. Clearing cookies resets your guest identity. You can sign out from the account page and clear site data in your browser settings.
Advertising and privacy choices
When advertising is enabled, Evernode uses Google AdSense in clearly labeled placements. Google and its advertising partners may process your IP address, browser information, page context, cookies, and advertising identifiers to serve and measure ads, subject to your choices and applicable requirements. Advertising requests are separate from browser-local tool processing.
Where required, Google’s consent messages ask you to accept, reject, or manage advertising purposes and partners. You can revisit your choices using the privacy controls provided by the consent message. Choosing not to consent does not change your tool allowance. Learn how Google uses information at Google’s partner-site privacy information.
Data sales and changes
Evernode does not sell account information. Advertising partners’ processing and opt-out choices are described in the advertising section. The service is a general-purpose utility site and is not designed to collect information from children. This policy may change when features, providers, or requirements change.
